Unable to use foundation colour on platform

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.68.154.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All, except Eco Lifestyle, Nifty Knitting, and Journy To Batuu
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Place a platform and choose a foundation colour.
What happens when the bug occurs? Nothing happens when trying to colour the platform, except a red pop-up message saying it has to be used in a room.
What do you expect to see? Being able to colour the platform with foundation colour, like shown in the «Snowy Escape» live-stream.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

I want to colour my new platforms with foundation colour, like shown in the «Snowy Escape» live stream. All I get is a red pop-up message saying it has to be used in a room.
You need to click on the Walls and Empty Rooms in build mode then select Platform Trims:
