    @jasminewessien Mechanical Engineering is a branch of the engineering degree. If you have a physics degree you can directly choose that branch (level 7) hence getting the bonus you need. If you choose engineering, your basically choosing the base career, hence no bonus.

    Do you get the option for Mechanical Engineering from the job list ?

I don’t think you understood what I wrote. I do have the option to choose engineering but with a degree in physics I should get a bonus and start on a higher level of the job . But the degree is having providing none of these as though my sim did not attend university

      @jasminewessien What kind of mods have you been using then ? Have you tested without it ? Do you have a save you can test without mods where the sim hasn't graduated ?
