Unorthodox gaming console is disconnected?

Hi all,

I had the gaming console that came with City Living working with a high end flat panel TV so groups of sims could play video games together while sitting on the couch. However, I got the new curved panel TV and now the gaming console doesn't work. I get a message, "Unorthodox gaming console is disconnected." Does this mean the console ONLY works with the flat panel TVs?

Thanks rosemow, I have no CC or mods and tried buying a new game console.  Will try buying a new TV

Thanks @Dannydanbo.  Moving the console to the other edge of the coffee table made all the difference. It works now with the curved panel TV.
