Upgrading treehouse not working

Normal residency lot. This has happened now after couple months due to the previous lot I had for different family it worked well and their tree house is good. 

Gave this a test and it worked fine for me.  Do they revert right away for you or after travel ? Do you have any residential rentals in the same neighborhood ?

No residential rentals (this lot is in Brindleton Bay if that matters) and sim does the upgrade but it will never shows up but it reverts back to the option to upgrade -- and the pole goes to the household inventory. Lights were the only thing I was able to upgrade, the slide, sliding pole and bell do not work. 

And I mean, the sim uses a lot of time with the upgrade until it finishes. I have tried not to disturb them any way even not saving while they have been busy with the upgrade but still nothing. 

Could you test another family if they have the same issue ?

I tried with different family in different save and it of course worked there :( 

Could you test another family in the same save as well to see if it's an issue with the save or the lot ?
