I made a new save with only basega.e selected. It worked and played did a few hours. Then went ty play a save file that uses all packs. Now I'm trying to go back to the badegame save file and it just wants me to pick a season. What an i doing wrong??
No mods, no cc, I'm on windows laptop.

Hi...I don't see a photo or anything. What I see is just that 1 save that is now supposed to be just base game with no other packs...is the screen that makes me choose what season to play in. I shouldn't have to pick a season because I'm packs are all disabled from using the new pack selector. Yes it won't let me get any further than that except go back to the main menu.
I did have trouble with all other saves this morning but I quit and went back in later and now all the saves that I didn't use pack selector on are now working as they should.
Do I maybe have to use pack selector every time I go into that save??
Yes, the pack selector applies to your game as a whole, not to any particular save. So if you turned packs back on, they will be active for all saves until you turn them off again.
Can you post a picture of your pack selection ? As Pip said, it's a global thing.
Bit unsure on some of the things you say but I think that's the main issue here.
You need to make sure to change them every time you load saves that use different packs.
This is with all my packs selected that I own. But...Please tell me if I'm understanding you correctly. If If I want to play the save game that I made that only has the base game ...I have to deselect on the main menu again and then play that base game save file.....then when I want to play my other save games that use all my owned packs ...I then need to go back into main menu and select all my packs again??? Is that right?
Correct, pack enabling/disabling is not per save, it's on the game as a whole. Packs you disable will stay disabled no matter what save you open (though if the save previously used a now disabled pack it will give you a warning) and packs that you enable will stay enabled no matter what save you open - which is why you need to select a season with Seasons enabled when opening a save that did not previously use the pack.
Note that even in your screenshot - you're not in any particular save editing those settings, but rather doing so on the main menu.
