@PipMenace , Yes! something on the wall or set on the floor that can make dust start accumulating , like the hampers in LD or the shoes off sign in SE! Great example to mention the take shoes off sign! 🙌
@gooochyeee yeah, I have never been able to get the C&D roombas to work at cleaning dust . Thanks for the link! 😉
There's one thing I think they've missed with the robot vacuum cleaner, it's probably more of a cat's and dogs issue really but could apply to all vacs. The pets don't interact with them. That would have been such a fun addition. The pets in Sims 2 Pets would have I'm sure! They were really lively.
My cat likes to supervise my robot vacuum cleaner. He appears from wherever he is when he hears it beep. He follows everything it does and alerts me if it gets stuck. If they added that as a feature in the Sims it would be a bit more realistic.
When bust the dust was added I wondered if it impacts the pets at all? Do they interact with the cleaners or with the dust bunnies? If they did I might add it.

@simsplayer818 , I haven't noticed if pets react to Bust the Dust vacuums , but that is because I haven't really tried it. The few households with pets that I've played with since BTD I just didn't look for it. But I don't think they would react since all the BTD vacuums are controlled by the Sim. But I know what you mean -- when i lived with my parents they had an English Bulldog that would try to attack the vacuum any time you used it! 🤣 And one of my current dogs runs away, though he is new and still a puppy, so I don't know if this will always be a thing with him or not! I love how your cat will alert you if your roomba gets stuck!!! 🥰😄Such a good kitty!😇
However, the "roomba" robot vacuum cleaner in Cats & Dogs does have one pet interaction... cats will randomly sit on top of it and go for a ride!!! 🤣🥰 It's One of my favorite parts of that pack!!!!- simsplayer8183 years agoHero
@PugLove888I'll have to keep an eye out for the cat on the roomba! It hasn't happened in my game before.
Kiefer (my cat IRL) is obsessed with it but has not yet gone for a spin. He just supervises. But yesterday it ran out of charge and he got very upset as it started to spin and beep!
I'm adding a rescue cat today for my current Sim and I'll add a roomba too! Good tip!Edit: it worked! The cat on the robot vac. Little Milan had a whale of a time lol! This made me smile today and my game hasn't done a lot of that this week.

@simsplayer818 you cat Kiefer sounds so cute supervising the roomba as it cleans!😍 He needs a little id card that says he is the supervisor! 😆 Was he named after the actor Kiefer Sutherland?
Thank you so much for the picture of Milan taking the roomba for a spin! 🤣🤣🤣 Even after all these years it still makes me laugh when I see that in the game!
Glad I could tell you about that little fun feature!
The Pug in my avatar is loosely based off of my dearly departed Pug in real life, but in the game his name is Nugget and he is obsessed with swimming! You can ask @SheriGR , because she downloaded his household and he was obsessed with swimming in her game as well 🙌, so apparently the obsessions and fears that pets have in the game is generated when you create the pet in CAS, even though you can't choose a fear or obsession for them in CAS. Nugget is part of my Loomis family, which includes parents, a little girl, Nugget the Pug, and Waffles the Calico Cat! 🥰@gooochyeee , yes, I'm glad they fixed what they did! 🥳 And yes, it would be so cute if our Sims pets barked at or ran away from the vacuums! 😄
- gooochyeee3 years agoSeasoned Ace@PugLove888 I do hope they add pets getting scared of vacuums (like how they can be of the tv and other things). But I am very happy that they fixed 3 bugs with it. Including: The toggle resetting when loading/traveling, It not working on Tiny Homes and The constant smeling. But now it is working as expected.
