@cinderellei Hi! I don't know what you mean by extending the biographies. If you mean individual bio's for each family member, then no, there's no option for that in TS4. I've seen some other posts asking for this option. If you mean changing existing bios or adding one for a new household, then you can do that through "manage households" in the worlds view. Select "manage households" in the upper right corner of the worlds view.
Find and select the family you want to change. You can add or change the "bio" in the description box.
If the family is living on a lot already, you can also just click on the lot, then click the house icon next to their photos and edit the description there.

@cinderellei Oooooh okay. Apologies for misunderstanding. Yes, it appears there is a limit of 500 characters for the description, yet the Watson family description has 725 characters. I don't know why anything is added to TS4 that can't be 100% recreated by the players. It would be nice if the dev team could give us the liberties they have with the game or stick to the rules that are imposed on us. I remember wanting to build a Haunted House for the Paranormal pack. I was going to use some of the items included in the DuPlantier house but the wall plants and lumber piles for the yard aren't actually available in build mode. Anyway, I'm sorry for the frustration with this. I don't know if it's something that will change though. In the meantime, maybe you could try rewriting the background story. Here's my attempt. It's not quite the same but it's only 498 characters and I thought it might help give you an idea of how to work around this limitation.
