@hellcrasher6969, I don't care for the Sharing is Caring NAP either!  😢
However, you can vote multiple times on each round of voting if you have enough influence points.  I find that before any NAPs are active you can usually get points by talking with other Sims and doing friendly or positive interaction with them. 🙂  Then, you can vote multiple times and pick the NAP you want to have enacted. (I love the gardening one!  My Sim had a garden anyway, and just by doing regular daily gardening he was able to rack up 246 Influence points by the time the next voting session was active! 🙌  Then he could easily prevent other undesirable NAPs from being enacted, like the free-love one, and the roughhousing one.  However, the gardening one isn't always offered , so you might have to choose another one.🤨  It is best to pick something your Sim already does, or that you want them to start doing. 😉

I get they want to make it fun but my thing is what a young kids plays it and see sharing is caring their minds isnt fully developed yet they might think that stealing ok now what I have learned is kids learn what they  see but that not the issue what if we have a low income family and other sims are stealing their stuff and they got to rebuild it takes sim  money to buy if they dont have it it's crazy but with the inventory  acting up it makes it lag when ever we need to read to it but what really got me was thr house was on fire in stead of the fd putting out the fire they decide to go inside the house just to steal cabinet and my stuff burt down I had to force my girl to get out of the shower  to put it out I tried to vote other stuff I and still got the sharing is caring they went as far as robbing my vet clinic so I had to open the house inventory  and what you know it lag so hard i had to restart my game and reboot my data 

@hellcrasher6969, well the game is rated Teen and older, so no little kids should be playing it.  Teens should be old enough to know that stealing is wrong. ( If anything, this proves how horrible it would be if everybody started stealing everything!  😢😞)

I have been able to manage to avoid the Sharing is Caring NAP, so I have not had problems with it yet, but I have heard of several stories of people who have their Sims run a business, have to built a basement with no access to it and put all the required objects for that venue in the closed off basement so they cant steal every sink , toilet, and anything else that may be required.. This isn't ideal, but it is a work around. 

Is this an older Save Game File that you have played a lot of time on?🤔  In the future I would always start any new pack you get with a new Save Game File so if something like this were to cause problems, you haven't messed up your main save game . 😉 It could be a file you only use for testing purposes.  💡
