People, I need your help! My teen sim has recently aged up into a young adult, and I want to send her into a university. Unfortunately, I can't send her into a university because whenever I choose her to play, she doesn't get an option to apply her into university. Since I have High School Years expansion pack, I thought that if she'll attend the graduation ceremony, she'd get an option to apply to the universities. However, I already let her attend a graduation ceremony 2 times, and both attempts didn't end well: she still can't go to the university. Since I have all packs, is it because one or some of the packs revamps the university thing? Help!

@sidneytheemogirl , the amount of packs shouldn't matter. I even checked the Bug Report List and none of the ones regarding High School Years matched your problem (most of the problems with University in regards to HSY had to do with not being able to do some activities if your Sim graduated high school early). I did not see any Bug Reports relating to your problem on the Discover University section either. Are you playing on a console or on a PC or Mac? If you are playing on a PC or Mac, do you happen to use any Mods or Custom Content (CC)?🤔

@crinrict yes, if they already applied and were accepted (without realizing it) then I'm not sure they would see the apply option any longer. If that's the case they would see the enroll option.

I'm so sorry for the late reply, but I DO have Discover University pack. As of other young adults who can't to to the university, I don't have any of them right now.

@sidneytheemogirl Maybe the graduation didn't work properly as you shouldn't be able to attend twice to my knowledge. Did you just go there the second time when it took place or was there an option to attend ?

Young adult sim can't go to the university! Is it because of the packs I have?

Teens gain the ability to apply to university partway through the teen life stage, and all young adults, adults and elders should be able to. It doesn't depend on anything to do with graduation.
Is it possible that through your attempts you did get into the university but didn't realize it and haven't enrolled? Do you have the option to enroll in a university if you click on the mailbox or computer?
What happens if you take another young adult, adult or elder (just grab a premade or random townie from Manage Households and play them for a bit to test) and try to have them apply to university?
Any mods in your game?

@mightyspritesims Wouldn't they need to apply first to be able to enroll ? They're saying that the option to apply doesn't appear.

I tried reloading to a time before I got the university pack. I took my teen and had him graduate high school then aged him up into a young adult. The apply for university button does not appear. When I tried the same method with his sibling, the apply to university button does appear. I also tried with his parent, and it also appears with the parent, but not for my sim

Hmm... Strange...

I went to my game and aged my teen sim up, then I immediately went to click on the places where sims can apply to universities:
Mailbox showed the option to apply
Computer showed the option to apply
All that before the graduation ceremony too.
All these following should apply here:
Sim must be a young adult, adult, or elder to apply.
An exception to the first rule allows teens to apply too if they have graduated early.
A sim who have been expelled or dropped out can still apply. They can only attend distinguished degrees and have the basic degrees locked out.
Sims who have applied can apply again after some days. This is to give them another chance of getting into distinguished degrees.
I'd strike this as a bug now.
I'll ask additional questions here:
Have you tried repairing your game?
What trait did your sim get for graduation (it should appear when they age up)? You can check it from the sim's trait panel or pick another sim and open the young adult's Sim Info panel from the relationship panel.
For now, the only thing I can suggest is enabling testingcheats, shift-clicking on your sim, go to Pack Cheats.../Expansion Packs.../Discover University (wording may not be exact) and there's an option to enroll your sim.
