Here, in school, I wore a uniform only for marching band and PE, but it makes sense for both occasions.
Yeah, this is the other thing.
The suppression of bullying I am very skeptical about, because trust me, bullies will always exist, and they will find the tiniest detail to bully you about. I mean as long as they know what neighborhood or street you live on, they can figure out if you're poor or not, to begin with. But that is usually not the cause for bullying anyway, adults thinks it is, but it's not.
I was bullied to the point of daily beatings between grade 2 and grade 9, and it had nothing to do with my economical status or clothes AT ALL.
But yes, to me, school uniforms and dress codes are basically just ways to repress personalities and to teach kids to conform and don't express themselves (Except in accepted forms, like in music and art class of course...) - Joanne_Snow5 years agoRising TravelerUpdate:
they can talk while hiking together!!Sorry edit: It looks like they CAN do stuff WHILE they are hiking, so maybe they can also talk?? Plumbella seems to really like the hiking feature (happy to hear it) so I'm guessing they don't just walk next to each other like zombies. *

Different cultures and mentality. Using a uniform is like using any other work clothes, it's not really a way to suppress identity not to mention your clothes shouldn't be the sole thing that defines you. That's just a very western way to think. There's a time and place for everything and in school you are suppose to learn most of all, and like everything uniforms have a purpose. maybe this pack/trailer has a lot of hints for next year? like the japanese school uniforms?
WHY do people obsess over these? There are LITERAL Japanese school girls in this pack. Hence, Japanese school uniforms.
@Beardedgeek because, I'm not sure if you were around here in the beginning of the year, but the madea poll... official one... asking us what stuff related to teens and high schoold we preferred, and if we wanted them or not. That happened aroudn the same time they made the poll asking us Snowy Escape stuff, which activities we wanted to do on snow, etc...
Private schools and School uniforms are so alien to me. For me it's only England, Japan that does it... and some very rich and privileged Americans.
Nope. Many public schools in Latin America and the Caribbean use school uniforms.- I loved the idea of school uniform, very glad they are thinking outside of United States reality. Here in Brazil all our public schools have their uniforms and that’s the way the bus driver recognize the students in some cities so the student don’t need to pay the ticket to go to school or home.
When sims 1/sims 2 comes out I always trying to figure out why the game schools are so different from my experience, it was a funny process.
With sims 2, I was like “whyyyy the mother needs to invite the school manager to dinner for the kid be accepted in private school?”
Until few year ago i have a image that all American schools was just like Britney Spears school in “hit me baby more one time” videoclip. "Sigzy05;c-17709750" wrote:

Well, of course wearing clothes isn't the only thing that expresses identity, but something feels off to me when you force it upon kids who are required by law to attend school, as if it's a nonpaying job for kids when it's not really equivalent. Like when you're an adult, you know what you're going into at this point and you at least have a choice on the matter.
I guess it's a matter of disagreement of cultural attitudes at this point, so agree to disagree.- Beardedgeek725 years agoNew Spectator

No, it's not. Many public schools in Latin America and the Caribbean use school uniforms. I did.
Well you live and learn. I will never like the thought of it tho, because as I said it doesn't stop bullying in the slightest and coming from a culture where most workplaces have no real dresscode other than "clean and decent", even for bosses, the whole idea is weird to me. We don't have school uniforms and I go (well went, pre Corona) to work in a goverment office wearing jeans and a t-shirt. - crocobaura5 years agoSeasoned AceWhy is there a decorative small microscope on the kids science table? Why is there no working tea set and only some decorative tea pots? They need to update the kotatsu table to work with restaurants.
- Yeah, both public and private schools have uniforms in my country. When we were teens we hated them of course, but it was never a real issue. If I had kids who were passionate about hating their school uniforms, I'd be relieved that those were their main concerns in life lol. I moved on to other apparel-related struggles when I could barely find the time to do laundry in college, which bled into my first and only office job, which had a very relaxed dress code. Now I work in lounge wear lol.
Just finished watching and there's a lot I like about it.
BUT I got excited for Eco after watching that livestream and... well... so I'm more cautious now. Especially about the lifestyles thing lol. I hope whatever actions they're tied to won't start canceling queues and such.
The mountain looks at least as decent as Selvadorada's jungle, so I'm into that. Means I'll definitely play it more than once. I prefer it when I actually get to go places with my sims and watch them do the stuff I want them to do and when my decisions might affect the outcome or when external factors influence them.
I feel the same (meh) about all rabbithole careers, so nothing there.
Festivals I enjoy sometimes, I don't mind them too much either way.
Not crazy about the new clothes, but I do like the hairs.
I was a little disappointed that the social media thing wasn't expanded on but oh well.
I WANT TO BUILD WITH PLATFORMS YESTERDAY.
Maybe I missed it, but did anyone ask about taking dogs on hikes? - I missed the live stream, but I might get this pack. I haven't decided yet. They need something really really good, and I'm definitely, absolutely not looking at the content from any of the Youtubers that appear to have early access. I want to see content from packs outside of this one in gameplay, and I want to see the occults from other packs in gameplay. It's very important to me that this expansion will add depth for occults specifically. Like, I'm thinking something exclusive to Aliens, Vampires, Spellcasters, Ghosts, and Merfolk. I like sci-fi and fantasy in my game. I do plan on getting starwars when I do more with Sci-fi, but the fantasy occults need more attention.
I am looking forward to the build elements, but I'm not ready to spend 40 dollars on that content alone.
I wish youtube would get the hint and stop showing me clickbait thumbnails and thumbnails with weird expressions overlapping pictures of the video content. I think I declare my lack of interest dozens of times a day for the same Youtubers. I'm about to just block them because Youtube's system is keeping me from seeing videos like this that I actually want to see with thumbnails that look official and professional.
Edit: I forgot to include ghosts.
