Some that I like but have turned off:
Neighbourhood stories - I like the idea, but on one hand it's way too aggressive and on the other it doesn't do enough (move sims together to start families). The feature just leaves a lot to desire.
Thunderstorms and blizzards - I like both extremes, but feel they're too frequent and also in some worlds it rains too much. The weather feels more balanced with them off.
Eco footprint - cool in theory, but not enough to do with it and think it mainly causes lag so no for me.
(I have also turned off NAP voting, but it's very hard for me to see how that would ever work in my game - I mean the randomness - so can't say I really like that feature. NAPs themself have potential and I still use some of them.)

The turn-on & turn-off attraction in the Lovestuck EP.
After buying this pack, >50% of my married couples feeling their spouse unattractive, the romance level drop sharply and they argue all day (they argue automatically). Some of them are asking for divorce.

I use mods to turn off all the festival and event notifications. No more school football, cheerleading days, invites to Batuu, Thrifty, Social Bunny, etc. It is excessive to get all the notifications.
I turned off most of the occults. Especially Vampires and Werewolves. I keep the witches and wizards on. They act like normal people.
Freezing, burning, or dying in the wrong clothes due to seasons. I got a mod to change my Sims into the appropriate outfit automatically.
Spoiled food. It was annoying to be constantly cleaning up and making food. I got a no spoil mod. - Perti232 months agoSeasoned Veteran
I turned off aging. No one ages up without my permission. Also, no one dies of old age👍

I turn off aging for all, moon cycle, neighborhood stories, dating app, pollution, balance & luck, blizzards/rain, fame & lifestyle wants.

After reading these, I feel like I should turn more off. 🙂 I have thunderstorms turned off because they occurred every day of the summer and no one could have any fun in the summer. I turned off fears/wants because some of the fears would take over the life of the sim and couldn't really be removed or corrected. I would have kept wants, but there wasn't an option for that. I have animal aging turned off for the farm animals which is supposed to work now. I have the NPC voting turned off. And aging is off for all but the household I am playing.

Fears - They are too many and they happen too often. They don't work with how I play the game.
Bullying in High School - I don't want any of that in my game. mod: High School mods from Aramiteus which removes the bully sim and the autonomous mean interactions.
Basketball taunting - Sims taunt and fart constantly when playing basketball with each other. mod: I made my own mod which sets the radius of broadcaster_Basketball_Taunt to 0.
Parenthood phases - They happen too often and can easily get stuck on the sim. mod: No More Parenthood Phases by MonoChaos.
Sims asking for advice in parenthood - Because it freezes the sim in place until they walk up to the parent. mod: No Ask for Advice Parenthood by Polarbearsims, which changes it so it's a dialogue option instead.
Toilet pranks - It happens too often because there will almost always be a sim on the lot with the goofball trait. mod: disabled with MC Command Center, MC Tuner.
Sad holiday moodlet - Sims shouldn't get sad because they don't want to participate in a randomly generated holiday. mod: No Sad Holiday Moodlet by Sigma1202.
Randomly Generated Townies - Because they look terrible. mod: I'm currently using No New Random Townie Generated by Cepzid Ferdiana Creation.

Wants and Fears: I like them a lot, but my sims kept getting the most random fears, and kept getting them all the time. I would have liked to see this system refined and let us pick fears in CAS. But until then, I have it turned off.
Hair Growth: I love the idea a lot. Though personally, I just got annoyed with having to keep up with it all the time. Same with real life, tbh. Shaving every couple of days can be annoying.
Burn Out: At first, it sounds like a nice way to add challenge. But it kept happening ALL THE TIME, so I had it disabled.
Midlife Crisis: Again, love the idea. Hate the execution. Some of these crises are stupid and don't fit my sim. I get it's a crises made to have sims experiment and go against their set routines. But no, my sim doesn't want to cheat on their spouse. No, my sim living off the grid doesn't want to build a rocket ship.
Bucket List: Another verse, same as the first. I have little control over what my sim wants or can add, unless I use cheats. Plus some of the tier rewards are big bonuses on top of all the other big bonuses the game constantly throws at me. They make the game too easy.
Social Bunny: It's fine, but I never use it and have all sims deactivate it immediately. Plus I heard it lags your game something fierce over time.

Rain and thunderstorms: I love weather, but rain was too constant and it darkens the game so much it make it hard to see, so for now it's off.
I mean theres probably more
but from top of my head:
Neighborhood Stories, NAPs, Autonomy... I just want to control all the sims myself 😅 and I don't like my precious townies and stories replaced by randomized mess no matter how amusing it would be
Social Bunny for any sims not teen, Cupids Corner for any sim thats in relationship and is not part of the Don Lothario tribe... + no gallery sims cause I don't like my save flooded by random sims
😅 I just wish they'd have made it so we actually have to activate these for specific sims instead of all sims suddenly being on all the apps 😅 I tend to play my game so any tech is either full futuristic to my sims or then its like early 2000s level tech they have instead so all the phone use is really annoying me on regular 😅 but I will probably use these features with specific households when I get to them
hmm what else was there oh yeah Lifestyles think I turned those off rather quick because I found that the lifestyles mirrored more my own lifestyle than my sims personality I was trying to give them so it was annoying me 😅
and as much as I adore fears for the love of watcher do hope those were not randomly assigned but rather something we can choose in cas, makes no sense to me Olive Specter would fear death... for instance
