Spring is in full swing, so let’s get your Sim outside in the garden! We’ve all heard of the 100 Baby Challenge, but what about the 100 Cowplant Challenge?
Here’s your goal for this month- plant a...
I did it. I wouldn't advise trying to do this on a lot that is just 40x30 which is barely large enough to grow them because you will have to build a living space above them or below them in a basement!
I can tell you, I did try to cheat! 🤪 You cannot clone cowplant seeds on the scientist's cloning machine. I tried! 😉And is it really a cheat if the game provided the ability to clone, if you have Get to Work, that is? 🤣 I also have never used, nor will I use, CC or MOD's.
We did a lot of fishing, which is one of my favorite activities, especially in Windenburg's oceans/reef area's! We managed to get 2 cowplant seeds and about 40 seed shaped gems - From Crystal creations. Yeah, we managed to catch some fish among the voodoo dolls, shower tarps, and such! We caught a small two man tent too! I was amazed at what the game has in all the waters we can fish in!
Because these Chelsie and Zoey are my scientists, they have previously completed 29 collections which most are included in their Flea Market. They already had numerous plants already grafted (snapdragon + dragon fruit = cow plant), 16 of them to be exact. But we didn't start there... We got community effort! I want to say that 9 other households contributed to our 100! The biggest contribution was from the Fritz family who live in Henford on the Bagley, Cottage Living, who focus on canning and now they can have the home business they have been wanting! 😍
We collected all the seeds and then planted all 100 at the same time. Amazing on how long it took to plant all these seeds!
The 1st pic is when we planted the seeds. After a week (in game week), they still had not fully grown though they were "evolved" several times. Seeds that were normal were evolved to excellent before becoming fully grown. All the perfect seeds took even longer to grow. I think in part, it was my fault. I put in lights and minimal fencing to insure that I had planted 100! 🤣
These were actually keeping them from growing... I think. Once I removed everything so only the cow plants were on the lawn, they started becoming fully mature and all of them matured within 9 hours after I removed everything.
I had to crop the picture as the forum said the file was too big. They are all dancing! I took a video which i wanted to share but I have to find a program I can trust to convert it to MP4 in order to post it here on the forum. In the video, they were literally "group dancing"! I Loved it! It was awesome!
Edit: I apologize. I converted it, but now I need to upload to a third-party host: YouTube, Imgur or Google Drive. I cannot allow that type of access to my system because my son is a Government licensed ethical hacker and He is connected to my system. Sadly I cannot share it like I want to because of this fact.
