2/7 kids constantly have nightmares but the rest are fine!

I play a family with a single mum (Calla) and her sextuplet children, girls Dove, Wren and Heron, and boys Kite, Robin and Auk, plus toddler daughter Puffin. They are great! However, at night, two of the boys keep having nightmares. I'm not quite sure why, as they've got nightlights on, and I always make the kids have a shower/bath and read before bed to calm them down.
Can anyone think of any ways I can improve their routine? It's only Kite and Auk who seem to constantly have nightmares- the girls and Robin never do, and Puffin has never had one that I can remember!
3:00-4:15pm- all kids home from school, and do homework.
4:15-6:15pm- swimming, playing, see their dad, have fun.
6:15-7:15pm- dinner and clearing up.
7:15-8:00- outside on jungle gym while Puffin has bath and story.
8:00-9:30- shower and read in bedrooms, then sleep. We wake at 6, have breakfast, then draw and have a family story in the garden before they go to school.
Thanks!

  • Is the nightmare monster related? If it is, you should get the mum to perform the interaction "Spray monster under bed"
  • This is one of the reasons I stopped using single beds. I got tired of everyone getting woken up every night because of the monster under the bed
  • Use double beds for kids, it will solve the nightmare problem completely. In addition, it looks adorable when they sleep face to face with either a sibling or parent.
  • That's got to be it! The other four kids have double beds, but Auk has a cc bunk bed and Kite has a cc cabin bed. Brilliant! Thank you so much.
  • There is a keep-monster-away wall lamp that does exactly what it promises. I always use it, never any fuss with monsters... except the first time in a new family where I forgot to buy that lamp, but that's just cute (once).
  • I get nightmares from toddlers and those can be a challenge at the wrong time, especially when your toddler wakes up half the household for comfort, but it can be negated when you get the toddlers thinking skill up to level 3, it reduces the chances of nightmares. it beats the monster under the bed one though when one child wakes everyone up and refuses to sleep for a few hours until after the monster is gone, more so when timing was already tight on sleep and getting ready for school.
