2nd February Patch Speculation 2018 Pre Gamepack Patch (Out Now)

I suppose we should ask ourselves what other content hasn't yet been updated for toddlers? They mentioned the portable beds and tents and then stopped short of what else could be in the patch, so I would assume they've gone back and made things more accessible for them in general. Perhaps they did the same for pets re: Outdoor Retreat. One of my major issues with getting toddlers so late is that we've missed out on so much content for them. I'm glad they've made an effort to go back and remedy that. Good on them!

I wish they'd update past and BG neighbourhoods and put in the district icons on them as well.

I was trying to come up with stuff yesterday that they're not able to do and the only thing I could really think of is that there isn't anything related to them in Dine Out/Restaurants, photography and you can't take them into pools. Granted you couldn't do the latter in the previous games but it would be fun to see an adult sim holding one and paddling about with them. For Dine Out you can add high chairs to the restaurants but I don't think you can actually order for them the way you can the rest of the household. You also can't do portraits of them which makes me sad though at least you can still take a picture of them casually. I'm sure there are others but these are the three that stick out the most for me.

There is also a few things in the games I believe that children can't interact with though in that case it was a choice the developers made for whatever reason since the kids were there at the time.

Maybe since photography is base game now, they could patch in the ability to take pictures of toddlers

It's been shown they've done that before when they updated the appearance of the CL district icons. I'd also love those cosmetic changes; it also helps to know the tidbits of each neighborhood for story purposes(?)

Not being able to take a family photo of the kids including toddlers makes me super sad. I would love to see this fixed in the future!

They usually have a patch right before a pack release; they can add some of the coding in there to keep the size of the actual game download smaller, mainly with the new Build/Buy items. Also they can patch in some of the new stuff for all players to use, like everyone got the conical roofs in the patch before Cats & Dogs. The patch early this month was mainly for small bugs they got fixed plus the anniversary items (hairstyle and T-shirt).

It’s unusual to have two patches in a month, though. I wonder if this means no patch in March...

I'd think there'd be a patch maybe mid to late March, mainly bug fixes especially if anything creeps up (if you'll pardon the phrasing) in Jungle Adventures. :D

Maybe Seasons will bring a toddler pool where they can splash around (could use the animations from giving them a bath).

I really hope so. My sister has like a million pictures taken from my niece... :lol: so why can't our little sims do it?
Oh and I hope the photograph studio from GTW also implement the ability to snap pictures of toddlers, and parents holding toddlers.

Other than that, the temples have painted ceilings, so I really hope we can get rid of ugly white ceilings finally!

What!? Where did you see the temple has a painted ceiling? In the trailer? Oh boy, I hope this true and given to everyone in the patch update. I know it's only the ceiling, but for aesthetics in building, that's a HUGE feature! Just think of the possibilities if we could use any floor for ceilings. o.O
