I also find the player-developer relationship this time around to be incredibly toxic, at no fault of the player really. Too many empty promises made, too many things that were never accomplished, and too many excuses as to why maxis can’t develop a quality game that pleases paying customers. I don’t plan on buying anything else beyond what I have, Seasons was a good pack to complete my Sims 4 collection.

Like you, I planned to stop after Seasons. Yet, Seasons came and went and one of the biggest features that I was waiting for never showed its face. ::sigh::
That's been the M.O. of TS4: 'Promise a lot, give a little, put the rest on layaway.' We'll get the stuff that we're waiting for, eventually. Some day. Maybe.
After four years, only two features can be considered anywhere near complete -- Vampires and Toddlers. That's it.
