A Deadly Day

So there I was -- well, no, there my sim was -- at the police station, basking in the glow in having cracked my latest case. Even the chief was being nicer to me. It was a good day. But wait! There in the crowded jail cell, one of the lifers had suddenly collapsed. It was that same prisoner I had saved yesterday from the Grim Reaper. Today was a different story, though, and my pleas fell on deaf ears. My triumphant crime fighting was quickly forgotten as everyone in the station was crying over this dead criminal.

My shift was over, yet I couldn't seem to leave and go home. Why wasn't I going home? Look! In that same crowded jail cell, another elderly criminal was passing over. (I swear, no police brutality involved.) I didn't even try to bother the Reaper over this one. I just wanted to get home and have some dinner. The criminal was dead and in an urn, why could I still not leave to return home?

Oh no! There, in the office, an elderly cop, and a close friend of mine, had now collapsed onto the floor. I cried and wailed for my friend and co-worker - to no avail. Three deaths in one place in one day. It's gonna take some time for me - I mean, my sim - to get over this huge tragedy.

haha i hate when that stuff happens. i wish elders would stay on their home lots if they are about to die. they keep ruining my outings :P

    I agree lol.
  • I had something eerily similar happen in my game quite some time ago. I was busy participating in Pinstar's Legacy Challenge and blogging about it, too. This was my Second Generation Heir, who chose to be a Detective (well, actually I did the choosing, but we won't tell him, okay ;) ). The deaths were horrendous, too. It was good fodder for the next chapter:
