A Decade Done!

In my current save i have just completed the 1980's! When i returned to the game in February 2021 i decided that i'd play the game in decades. When i got Seasons, my game started in the Winter of 1979 where a young sim self moved in to a two bedroom apartment San MyShuno. He met his first wife Liberty Lee and they had eight children, thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. However, at the end in the Autumn of 1989 my sim self and Liberty sadly departed and got divorced.

Their children:
Tommy Bird (Deceased: Death by anger, 1979 - 1985)
Sienna Bheeda
Andrew Bird (Deceased: Death by laughter, 1980 - 1989)
Ayla Gallagher
Beatrix Bird
Carlin Bird
Harry Bird
Jessica Bird

Their Grandchildren:
Adam Bird (Deceased: Death by hunger, 1980 - 1983)
Ryo Bird
Harriet Bheeda
Nicola Bheeda
Frankie Bheeda
Josef Gallagher
Eric Gallagher
George Gallagher
Imogen Gallagher
Daisy Bird
Brian Bird
Clyde Bird
Harry Cuevas

Their great grandchildren:
Amelia Bird
Daniel Bird

Here are some albums from the 80's including some from 1979:

@HillyBeth I am! I've got plenty of stories to tell as i head in to the 1990's. It will be interesting to see where my sims are ten years later.

I like to think my sims are in the late-1990s. I've been playing my current household almost two weeks and have made it through a year and a half in sim-time on 14 day seasons and 224 days in the YA age span. 224 is a full four years on 14 day seasons.
Edit: They're still only engaged and don't have kids either! Though the wedding is scheduled for the middle of the coming summer.
  • A whole decade, that's awesome. How do you calculate that? Every fourth season? I've been enjoying reading about your Sims' adventures.

I start the new year in Spring and end it in Winter. 1988 took a little longer to complete because of the intense heat we had in the Summer this year and i didn't play much and i felt my laptop getting warmer than it should during the heat.

There was a gap in my game play from April 2021 to September 2021 where i was without a laptop and i was in 1982 back in April 2021 so by my calculations i should be in the late 90's by now if there wasn't a gap.

I play on long life span and using the 28 day calendar which takes about a month or so to complete.
