A Did You Know on High School Years

It seems it's possible for a Sim to have more than one date to the same Prom.

I accidentally had that happen. My daughter was playing our HSY "test" save while I was doing something around the house. She accepted an invitation from another Sim to go to the Prom. I didn't know she'd made that decision...and the next time I was at the controls, our Sim received the same invitation from another Sim. I said "yes," and only then did I discover Z had already made plans.

"Umm...Dad, he already had a date..." she told me.
"Now he's got two. I wonder how this will work?"

It seemed fine. Sims arrive at Prom in a tangled pile of bodies, the way they spawn at school each morning, so there doesn't seem to be a sense of "arriving with your date." One of his dates won Prom Royalty. He had time to share a Sweetheart Dance with the other girl, but the timer ran out before he could relieve Her Highness from her Royal duties. Both of them joined the gang for After Prom, and there was no drama. Both girls now have Prom Date listed on their Sim profile pages.

Normally this results in the first prom sim that got asked getting jealous. You were lucky.

These sims can still apply to universities. However, they won't get into basic degrees. They can get into distinguished degrees, but if they don't get into any, they can't enroll to university. What's dumb is that even when the sim gets into none of the degrees, it will still be an acceptance letter.

New discovery!

If your sim gets into a distinguished degree, you don't have to get a high school degree online. Instead complete the degree and they too will be able to join all the careers in the game.

Does anyone know how many days after the cottage living release the bundle option became available? I'm trying to figure it out for high school years.

A friend of mine actually plays in Copperdale (I'm avoiding all things HSY till the bugs are fixed) and said she's been searching high and low for the haunted house in the trailer. Now she thinks it was just for the trailer and not a real thing.

Any ideas?

Or was it just a fake thing for the trailer?

She thinks it might be some sort of urban legend.

It's in Plumbite Cove, in the place where the Ferris Wheel is. On the same pier, there is a love tunnel, a pink building with swans. The haunted house is just next to it!

@CarpeNocheSims there is also a house in disrepair that was mentioned in the trailer as a place that "has secrets" or something. It is in neighborhood terrain in I think the neighborhood on the left-hand side of the map, with Thriftea. I've been trying to figure out how to interact with it but so far no luck.

Thank you. This is the one she's searching for, she can't find it. If she has better luck interacting with it, I'll let you know. Now that she knows where to look.

It's not really interactable, as such, but if you hang out there for a while you might see the spirit of the founder (not a ghost, looks more like the Island Spirits). So cool place to camp and tell spooky stories round the fire.
