Did you know a temporary ghost state can be enough to get access to the rebirth option? I had a living sim with a full soul's journey (as far as a living sim can fill this bar) go to the baleful bog, take a swim to become a temporary ghost and gain access to the option to be reborn in the same baleful bog without actually dying.
