A little question about vampires

The only way they can autonomously turn other sims is if they're in a club whose rules permit them to.

@DiamondSimmer - we're offtopic, but it means just what it says: your sim has lived 96 days. In your game settings, what are the sims' lifespans set at? I've been playing with aging off for so long that I don't remember the average lifespan for the various possible settings, but I'm thinking 96 days would be near the end if you're playing the shorter lifespans. So, in other words--the meaning of that number depends on your game settings.

From my observations, that number always goes up (Even when sim isn't an elder/vampire and even when aging is off). On one save with normal settings, my elder sim died by old age at about 500 or 600 days old (I'm a rotational player).
I'm sorry I had to argue back, but for me the "days lived" is really not important (and never was in any The Sims game). The notifications that pop up when elder is close to death matters. There are two warnings. On normal settings, first warning should come two days before death and second warning comes one day before death.

@EgonVM - I'm delighted you corrected me! I was afraid @DiamondSimmer wouldn't get any answer (late at night, wrong thread for the question), so I made my best stab at it. I'm tagging you now, Diamond, to be sure you see Egon's reply. :smile:

(eta: when I hover over my sims' age bars, I don't get anything. Did when I had aging on, but haven't since I turned aging off.)

I made a club with vampires and put use vampire powers first on the list. They don't use the mesmerize, slumber and hallucinate powers autonomously.
