A whinge and a moan!

I love Strangerville, for any wild west/mid west storylines (can't afford the horse one yet) but the most annoying thing is the storyline, the weird sims robot walking about, I wish there was a cheat to avoid the storyline and just play the world. I don't want to have to defeat the alien every time I want to play that world in a new save.

I know you'll say you can do it with a mod but I am totally computer illiterate I wouldn't have a clue how to add mods or open files/unzip files or whatever - the last time I tried to clear out some dead files and photos on sims 4 I ended up wiping all my saves - so I have no idea how to download them plus I have a Mac book and I know it can be more complicated on them. Anybody got any more whinges and moans? Or any solutions ? We can change vampires/aliens etc back to human but we cant stop the Strangerville game play - it doesn't make sense!!

  • @foxybilly I don't actually have strangerville, so I'm probably not the best person to answer this, but would it be possible to start a new save, solve the mystery, and then use the "save as" button in the Sims 4 menu to save a "starter save"?

That way, anytime you wanted to start a new save, just load that starter save, and do another "save as" under a different name, and the mystery will already be solved?

(Probably best to turn off aging and neighborhood stories while you solve the mystery. That way, all the premade sims stay the same age and won't die while you're playing through it.)

I hope this makes sense. It's kind of hard to explain how to do it without being able to show you. I'd be happy to answer any more questions if needed.
  • I'm pretty sure there is a cheat to complete the storyline.

You're welcome. I just copy/pasted it from Carl's Sims 4 Guide. If you want or need anymore cheats, I recommend always starting there. There's tons of information on each pack. I use it for the Doctor career quite often to help me diagnose illnesses.
