There are some channels and radio stations that are only available after you've upgraded the items enough.

Make sure you do all of these (send sim to watch one of these, switch to next channel when sim is done watching):

After that, go to your radio, listen to these, one by one:

If you don't have some of these TV/radio options, you have to upgrade them first!
