It's a game, not RL. What next, force the opposite "marriage" upon your game character than you want in your game because it would become boring for you playing the game if they didn't?
It should be pointed out here, that it goes both ways even in RL. Gene Roddenberry, who created the Original Star Trek that aired 1966-1969, spoke to George Takei about the character, Sulu, asking if he was okay to play a straight, married character. George said yes, and I could never imagine anybody else filling that role. As some have said acting is acting. But, I also have to say, that while that is true, if your Sim is of another orientation and the 'risky' scene always involves kissing the undesired gender, it gets old very fast. He won his Starlight Accolade, but the parts never got any better for him. Same old, same old. I had him quit to concentrate on his music.
