It should be pointed out here, that it goes both ways even in RL. Gene Roddenberry, who created the Original Star Trek that aired 1966-1969, spoke to George Takei about the character, Sulu, asking if he was okay to play a straight, married character. George said yes, and I could never imagine anybody else filling that role. As some have said acting is acting. But, I also have to say, that while that is true, if your Sim is of another orientation and the 'risky' scene always involves kissing the undesired gender, it gets old very fast. He won his Starlight Accolade, but the parts never got any better for him. Same old, same old. I had him quit to concentrate on his music.
Even a celeb perk to have "influence with the director" could work. There could be a drop down menu that lets you choose your costars, like the way you can choose who you want for the roles in parties like caterer, musician. I have an actor couple and id like for them to star in movies together, like John Krasinski and his wife does.
