Activities Children Can Do

I feel we need to keep a list of activities that children can do that other Sims can't and also activities that they can also do that other Sims can also do.

For example:
I know that children Sims can play make believe together but they can't play make believe with an adult

Try to include which pack it came from also if you know.

The purpose of this thread is to spread some awareness of the types of activities children Sims can do, because especially with each pack release children seem to be left in the dust. I'm going for positivity here. I feel they can do lots of stuff in the game.🎈

  • Minus the throwing of paint, children are pretty awesome and can actually do a lot of stuff.
  • This is mostly stuff that all ages can do that children aren't kept out of.

With GT they can play foosball, darts, cards and don't wake the llama. They can have clubs based around playground, swimming, homework, games, voidcritters (kids room stuff pack). Oh, and also the arcade game.

With OR they can roast marshmallows and other things if an older sim starts a fire. They can play in the tent. They can collect bugs in addition to frogs. I think they can hike. They can play horseshoes.

Base game activities that they can do besides playground equipment includes swimming, chess, fishing, collecting.

Did the consoles come base game or in a pack? Multi player video games are a fun group activity with kids. Also watching movies if you have movie stuff.

Seasons has so much, egg hunts, presents, holidays, skating, snowpals (With which they have extra interactions older Sims don't), snowball and mud fights.

Which stuff pack came with the water slides, was that called backyard stuff? Anyway they're fun. And kids can play in the toddler pools that either came with that or seasons.

In city living, you can get the spice hound or chopstick traits while in the child stage. Children can use the singing skill also, though I haven't ever tested whether they can use the karaoke machine.

I may think of more later. I play with a lot of children.
  • Battle, trade, and train up voidcritters is kids only
Perform puppet shows (Adults and tots can watch)
Befriend Blarrfy (Can adults do this? I think just kids and tots? But could be wrong here)

    With adults (or by themselves)
Group Projects (1-5 Sims at a time)
Play don't wake the llama (1-4 Sims)
    Play Card games (1-4 Sims)
    Homework
Earn Scout badges and Drama CLass (Kids and Teens)
    Play Chess
    Ice Skating/Roller Skating/Bowling
Teach tots with blocks and other skills
    The block table
Art Desk projects (Create seasonal decorations)
    Sandcastle making
  • Parenthood game pack came with the LEGO station where they can build and play with them and adults can do it with them.

  • I have to dig deep for this one..... all my sim kids do is talk and throw paint on the floor. But to be positive I'll come back if I find some. :*
