I haven't done it with the premade families, but I dedicated one of my Sims 4 save files to my "Sims 2." What I mean is that I made a list of the Sims I made in the Sims 2, and recreated the idea for Sims 4, so I still technically brought them over. The idea for doing that for the premade families is pretty interesting.
