Adopting a Sim

As far as I know, they're gone forever. The game basically deletes them. I think I remember seeing an option in MCCC but someone else may have to confirm that one for me.

MCCC does have an option to have neglected children get adopted by families in your world, so if you enable that option, you can move the baby back into your home, but I think the parent/child relationship will be deleted, since when children are adopted, their adoptive parents appear in the family tree.

I had an idea for a story where one of my Sims gets his roommate pregnant but then i read that Sims can't have babies on university grounds so i had to move my two sims and the pregnant sim out. Is there an option in MCCC to "stop" the pregnancy? I was hoping the NPC Sim in the dorm would have the baby out of the world.

@Brd709 You can both cancel and pause the pregnancy. Click on a Sim and open the MCCC menu, then click MC Pregnancy; the option should be there I think.

This has happened to me before. They are gone forever even if you check the adopt list right after the baby is taken away.

I don't know if you considered having the baby and then transferring them to another household via manage households. Just a suggestion in case you didn't think of it.

If the roommate is a npc she will have the baby and will be in the character bin. You cannot invite her to be a roommate any longer as she has "others counting on her." But what you can do is invite her to move in and just add the baby to your family. Then you can ask the mother to be a roommate. She will not pay anymore attention to the baby as any other room mate. This will only work if you live in one of the houses on campus.
