On short lifespan three days pregnancy is really a bit too much. Or is it faster on short lifespan by default? Normally when playing on short I create children by "play with genetics", so I have no idea.
It's 3 days on long so I would assume it's the same on short. Compare that 12-day baby stage on long :p
