12 DAYS! *stays on normal life span forever!*
It is pretty silly that on normal, a sim can be pregnant for longer than the baby is a baby.
I actually don't mind the long baby stage. I don't usually decorate nurseries much, but it might be worth doing for 12 days. It isn't really worth it for 3 days.
Considering I rotate weekly, it actually means my sims are babies during 3 weeks playing them:
- Week 1 - Get preggers in the first half of the week so the baby is born before rotating away on Sunday. Decorate the nursery etc.
- Week 2 - Full week of the baby stage.
- Week 3 - Remaining days of the baby stage. Changing the nursery or adding a bedroom for when the baby ages to a child.
It's broken up by playing other households, so it doesn't really get boring. So far my babies have been easy to care for. You can pretty much ignore them most of the time, tbh.
