I am so happy the OP started this thread. I do hope the developers and graphic artist will expand a more fashionable African-American hairstyle than what was offered in Sims 3. I had to resort to CC hair and buy store sets to get what I have in my game now. I felt it was very unfair.
I often got the comment from those observing my Sims that they looked like dark skinned Caucasians. :)
