Ailments
Just wondering why sims from a different world keeps getting ailments, even though I checked the box to keep fairies etc in innis world. Does anyone know how to stop this?

There should be more ways to cure those ailments. Magic or alchemy should be able to do it. We seriously need some cross compatibility options here.
The apothecary skill should never have been added, it's just yet another potion making skill that only fixes the stuff this expansion adds.
In the options menu you can turn off Balance and Imbalanced. A popup then says that ailments will not occur much at all but you might still get one. I also turned off Luck as my Sims only seemed to have bad luck.
Or just taking care of your sim. I have the creepy crawlies lot trait and my sim hates natural living. Every morning when she wakes up I have to rush her to the mirror to calm her down. I have tried very hard to get my sim an aliment. Even with bad luck and being dazed from it while fishing, and still no aliment.
If I play in fast speed I won't notice my sim's needs are tanking until very late. That's how the game's played by lilsimsie, james turner, and so far everyone I've watched play. Yeah, they're complaining about the aliments.
After the 29th grounded 2 will be out and I will be playing that. I won't care anymore about the sims since I don't play the game like everyone else does.
So I can say goodbye to ailments just like I have for my sim getting sick. More game play loss for my game.
It's certainly a incentive to install mods, use more than the money cheats, and play with constant fast speed. Maybe then I'll experience an aliment before they shut them down. 🙃
That seems to be a change from what other's are experiencing. Funny how good and bad luck can be all about perspective.
I have tried really hard for my sim to get an ailment. The only one I got was the one rewarded for doing the fable.
The team is currently working on the tuning settingsfor ailments.
You can also purchase the apothecary table and when you level up you can make all sorts of potions to cure whatever ailment your sims has. I leveled up my sim to level 2 and he was able to make the cure for his ailment.
Oh, thank you for that hint. I may just send one of my Sims to go make a purchase. My Sim still has 2 days before he's 'well'. He's a Rock Star and has already missed a couple of concerts and photo shoots for magazines. And trying to keep him away from his newborn baby is a joke. I've had some rather grim scenarios run through my head over this.
Does anybody know how turning off balance affects ailments?
