Alright, why are most pants options so terrible?

Seriously, so many expansions and still it's hard to just find normal pants! I'm no fashion person, do people actually wear what's in the game on a regular basis these days? Pants at weird heights...

Yes, we need long pants esp for male sims.
No cuffs, no bell bottoms or flares, no bootcut, no highwaters, no Hammer Time or saggy droopy drawers, just some nice, below the ankle, straight leg or tapered leg jeans, punk rock/rock band pants and dress slacks.
