There's people out there that don't do a lot of family gameplay.
Lot of packs have family related play and I feel like I'd lock myself out of a good bit of it if I didn't have some families here or there. Usually only ever have maybe 1 kid in any played household. Always feels fulfilling when they grow up and how you want them to be and such you know? Never do really big households I always find it hard to keep up sometimes with sims.
More into rotational play, so it works pretty well. All my sims tend to have some extended family of sorts or a parent as I use to have one die due to unfortunate circumstances and there being no one to plead for them if they didn't have a significant other.
I never bother with money cheats. Already too easy to make money in the sims and not enough ways to spend it or lose a lot of it so it kinda ends up being boring.
