And what's up with the crickets dying, no matter what you do?

Are the insects supposed to die right away? My sim was able to harvest eco fuel but the bugs' health is declining, no matter what I do. My sim has done her share of cuddling the vermin, eww. :p

That feature is a tad broken at the moment it seems. Carl's Sims Guide showed how a sim needs to more or less be constantly interacting with bugs to keep them happy, and even then they were dying.
There is a mod that fixes it, speeding up the interaction. Might be useful to get as who knows when it'll be fixed in a patch.
