That's what I thought, when I saw it, along with my usual "Great, get to check my 300 mods again to figure out which one is causing the new problem". But I can definitely say I'll be happier with this...

How do we know they don't need to drink the water? Maybe thirst is a hidden need. Anyway, I'm not to bothered by it, though sometimes I wish they would put their own glasses away and not leave them all over the house.
It is a hidden need and it was a bug that was supposed to be fixed. My sims have died from dehydration if they aren't constantly drinking water in the past before they fixed it. Now I have a family...one of my favorites...that won't do anything other than stand around the kitchen sink drinking water over and over.
