Some of the things are quite frustrating, like for example that "cooking but not eating" -bug. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Many have mentioned the problem that sims are using the pool in winter/when it's cold weather and then they are about to freeze. This has been happening in my game too, and I have solved it like this: putting a fence around the pool area and locking the gate in winter/during cold weather prevents my sims using the pool
  • A bit of silliness once in a while is funny. But when that goes on and on and on, for no good reason, that's when I start looking for a mod. And it HAS become worse than ever this past year. It isn't anyone's imagination playing tricks either. For me, it all began right after I added Realm of Magic four months after it was released, and every update and pack since then has added even more quirky autonomous actions that make no sense. I disabled Bust the Dust four days after I bought it because my Sulani Sims wanted to spend their days hoovering beaches. Plus those sparkles everywhere were driving me nuts. So autonomy is now turned off, and I have an arsenal of mods to nuke the stuff that makes me crazy every time a Sim ignores my commands to run off and do something else. The number of mods I am currently playing with is staggering. Some of my Sims have learned how to take care of themselves, but there are other Sims that will never understand the concept that using the bathroom is a much better alternative to wetting yourself in front of the entire crowd at a festival. Especially after being directed to do so then ignoring my command and wandering off to the other side of the lot. Away from the public bathrooms. I am currently looking at every pack I own, and weighing the pros and cons of disabling a couple more that just seem to be taking up space because I don't play with the main features. It would be nice to get rid of the mods I need to have for those packs to be playable. I'm hoping fewer packs will stop some of the nonsense that has been going on. And maybe (MAYBE) my Sims will stop acting like toddlers and grow a brain.
  • Yes!!! My sim Moonshine makes a nice fancy dinner, gets herself a serving, puts it on the dining table and...

She gets herself a bowl of cereal from the fridge.

Like what!? Sometimes my sims make me so mad but I still love them <3 !
  • Oh yeah! I play with autonomy off because I have to be in control of every aspect in my sims life BUT they started off good, they'd clean the dishes after themselves, sit at the table and then all the sudden they stop, they just eat wherever they please, when they're done eating they'll leave the plate on the ground or in their inventory.
Which isn't so bad but it's also like, guys? What the frick I raised ya'll better than this! :D

Now when I go into other households like parents, siblings, ect they're a hot mess, dishes are EVERYWHERE, laundry is PILED all over the place, their needs are all in red, they're skipping work/school, it's pure chaos :#

I don't remember it being this bad! They're lucky I love em' though otherwise I'd leave them to it :D
  • My sims will make food, and then get something else to eat after all that work. I know it is a bug, but hopefully it gets fixed soon. One thing I do, it cancel the action for the second food item, and make them eat their first item. If that doesn't work, I will let the Sim eat the second item, and send another Sim to eat the first item.
Also, I have a Sim that almost burns the house down every time she cooks, EVERY TIME, I don't know if it is the AI in general or she is just that dumb. I banned her from the kitchen in the game, she either makes a salad, or someone else cooks. I have her slowly learn to cook, but she is right back to attempting to burn down the house. I love/hate her so much.
  • I have a Sim I deliberately make him act like an idiot such as touching molten hot rock after a volcanic eruption, trying to spar a machine at level one fitness level, or making him go right for the cake in the Cowplant but as for the rest of the stupid, it's just the base-level sort of stupid to begin with lol. I think they try their best to live, though, so I guess I should applaud them for meeting their needs when they most need it? I don't think they get enough credit at how smart they do act at times, sometimes I get impressed they took care of a thing that even I myself neglected.
  • I'd very much like my sims to do common sense things and things that are smart, but the autonomy is such a dire position it is in, there is no way even stupid covers how bad it really is.

If given a chance to run away from an active volcano that's blown its top and i leave it to the autonomy, my sim would sooner try stick their finger in the lava pool and try to go for a swim rather than do the right thing. That is how this awful autonomy works.

I've noted in some instances some instructions you give override others, such as your sim goes to grab a bite to eat and listen to a track on a radio to help speed up their eating times, but your next order is to write music from a guitar, when that order is put in place the sim drop what they are doing and instead goes to write music. Same if a sim is on the toilet, you give them the order to watch tv and they'll get up off the toilet, flush it and then wonder off to the tv.

There are so many things wrong here, like i mentioned, stupid doesn't even cover a fraction of it.

Yeah i have that too. my sims would be on the toilet and i would click on the guitar and it overrides the toilet interaction.. that definetelly shouldn't happen.

The Geothermal lot trait is a good one to have if you have a pool. This lot trait keeps pools warm in winter as well as providing energy and lowering bills. However, it doesn't keep them warm once they get out of the pool in wet swimwear.
