Anyone else disappointed with the "exclusive" club?

If this is anything like things that have already been put out for this game, I think what is going on is this.
I think EA has only added just one, to give players a chance to check it out and see what it's all about. We should have the ability to create our own.

Its probably the same as for the already excisting GT clubs. Generic and uninteresting until the player takes over, or creates new clubs. That reading club I always forget the name of and Paragons are good examples. They are the most boring and pointless clubs ever, but can be made more interesting by adding to them. Drinking coffee and trying out clothes ... not my idea of a great night out with friends.

But the beauty of clubs is you can make your own, right? Or am I missing something?

If I recall correctly, the "exclusive club" designation will be governed by a lot trait, so you can have it be whatever you want.

Here are the lot traits that will be coming with Get Famous:


Celebrity Home: This residence is listed on the Celebrity Home Tours, granting increased fame gain, restricted access, and awe amongst welcomed visitors. Beware though! Those who live here but aren’t actually very famous will be considered poseres!

Hottest Spot in Town (Not available for Vet Clinic & Residential): A place for the Superstars, the VIPs, those who’ve achieved victory over the commonplace! After all, who else could afford these hyper inflated lot prices? Not you…no. But at least, the Starlight Accolades can only happen on Lounges with this Trait.

Up-and-Coming Hot-Spot (Not available for Vet Clinic & Residential): At least your sims can say they “went here before it was cool”. Also, cheap drinks and eats for the super famous! Even better, Meet a Celebrity events can only happen on Lounges with this trait.

As indicated above, exclusivity is designated via lot traits. A few mouse clicks will turn almost any lot into such a thing. One can therefore create an exclusive lot of any design that they fancy.

To become an exclusive club you have to have the red velvet rope with the bouncer out front. To stop the nobodies from coming in.

I saw a couple of videos from Sims Camp about the pack and the exclusive club for A-list celebrities felt so generic and boring. Plus didn't one of the Gurus say there are exclusive clubS? All I see is one. Welp.

Edit: I didn't mean the Get Together clubs...I meant like the actual club lots in the new world xD

When they say exclusive they mean the club or lot is exclusive to only celeb sims and the lot has that lot trait and there is a bouncer. That's the difference.

Actually I doubt the trait actually stops Sims from coming in. It just makes celebs show up more. The bouncer is the only one who can keep the D-Listers away.
