- I prefer to play with CC, mainly because I like to make my sims look more realistic, as well as the fact that I don't have all of the DLC packs installed. In addition, the gameplay gets boring after a little so I have mods like Slice of Life and Extreme violence to spice things up.
Not to mention, I use MCCC like most people, and UI cheats to keep up with my sims' needs. I actually have over 12,000 files worth of CC, so you can definitely say I need some help... "GrimlyFiendish;c-17718300" wrote:

I wish I could, but running on a slow computer I at least need MCCC to make filling needs easier, or else I'd spend my entire game doing nothing but that. Also I play Grim as a character & if you don't want to be constantly removing and re-adding his Reaper traits a mod is needed. I do wish they allowed us to interact with Grim as any other Sim, but they don't, so mods come in handy.
I don't have any issue with interacting with Grim after my sim has introduced them self to him. My sim can interact with him as if he was just another sim out on the street.
Ah yes, but unless something has changed recently that I don't know about, you can't have your Sim woohoo with, or try for baby, or marry Grim. To do all of that I've had to use a mod.
Not that I'm aware of. Yeah you would need a mod of some kind in order to have that kind of interaction with Grim. But that may change once Paranormal drops next week. HaHa!- I'm happy to spend my time playing my game and not installing doodads in it or debugging it ;) Vanilla keeps everything running as smoothly as possible.
That said, I do like animating and I could see creating some custom animations for fun sometime. - I tend to avoid cc for a few reasons, mainly because I don't like the alpha stuff and lately it's been more difficult to find Maxis-match stuff (if anyone knows some good content creators for that, let me know). Additionally, if I download a bunch of cc and something is broken I then have to comb through everything to find the culprit, a process I absolutely cannot abide. The third reason is I hate having to update things whenever the base game gets a new update or I buy a new expansion pack.
As to mods, there's only two I religiously use--MCCC and Better Build/Buy. I'm a Sims 3 alumni and I need me some story progression! Even then, when the game updates I often forget to update/reinstall the mods. I don't mind vanilla gameplay, just sad the base game doesn't include things that seem like very basic elements to me. - JanuaryGarnet085 years agoSeasoned Ace

Tumblr is full of Maxis Match cc, it’s where I get almost all of mine. - HaneulFier5 years agoSeasoned Ace

I really like the CC at House of Harlix. I think of it as Maxis match. https://www.houseofharlix.com/downloads/collaborations - The game is unplayable for me without mods .... but most of my mods add family gameplay. New aspirations for kids and teens. New family oriented social events, etc.
- Never used them, never will.
- Sharooonia5 years agoSeasoned AceI just added some more autonomy mods today. I honestly don't know how people can play without mods. It would drive me crazy. :D
- For me, its essential to play with a big variety of cloth mods. To dress my ladies properly. I did stop playing with male sims time ago due to how awful the male models look. I also used to play with mcc, but since i deactivated autonomy completely (enough is enough) i dont use it anymore.
