Anyone Know What's Next?

I found myself really itching to put something new in my game today, but when I scrolled through all the packs I didn't really gravitate towards any of the packs I don't already own.

Does anyone know the release schedule well enough to know what we might be expecting next? Or when? Like are we waiting for a stuff pack to drop or a game pack? Or any fun rumors or hints on what the actual content might be in the next addition?

I'll tide myself over with rumors and speculation for now~

  • I certainly don't know what's next. But my mind is saying Seasons or something to do with weather in the game.

Having to take a vacation to go to a beach sounds awful. I should not have to do that to swim in a body of water. Makes in ground pools look glorious and valuable now if that's the case. Either make it a part of a new live in neighborhood or don't add it at all. No vacation world exclusive like that ever.

I want a Vacation Beach world I can take my sims to. We can still have a beach home world but I want a beach vacation destination.

You think EA will give us both a beach vacation world and a beach home world ? I'm sorry but that's unrealistic considering what EA is doing to us right now..
We may get a beach themed home world but the oceans won't be swimable only in vacation world

EA could make both swimmable. All they have to do is add the coding for both in both new worlds to make them swimmable.

According to the Gurus it is not just recoding it is an entire new terrain and redoing the worlds we have needs a lot more than just a patch - plus we'd all have to start over - not that this is a bad thing for all of us - I start over a lot - run out of room and want new - so have to start over - but not everyone is going to like doing that.

Do you know something the Guru's don't? Curious about this viewpoint.

What I meant is that with a new pack they could add terrain to each individual pack so terrain updated for a new world coming with that EP or Gamepack would be only for that new world.

Yes - I can see it working in a new world of course.

That's EXACTLY the issue I had with Selvadorada (or Granite Falls for that matter). I was excited to get Jungle Adventure then to find out that my Sims have to take a friggin vacation to go there and then I have to extend it because exploring it takes all of their time. Not to mention the loading screen between the household to then have somebody take a vacation to then another loading screen to Selvadorada. I wasted money and never went back there again. So it is just wasted space on my game. I don't know why we couldn't just travel there like in any of the other neighborhoods.

Sims Freeplay has Seasons (via a device you can control manually), cars, beaches, islands with beaches, a movie studio, and they make it look so easy!! Anyway, the new pack (if its not alien stuff) will probably be something about Gardening and picking fruit and crap (like that current challenge with all the trees full with bugs). Not that I want it, but it seems to be headed there.

@edwie22 Ahahaha! Well it's true I'm not interested in hamsters or bowling, I'm not going to get mad at the sims team for providing content for people who might be interested in something different than me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ OH! But motorcycles would be fun! I remember I have this ridiculous pic of an old sim of mine from the sims 3.

Off to her wedding she goes! That would be a good one!

@littlemissgogo Seasons sounds fantastic! I love the snow so much!! I'd be in heaven!

and here I thought she was a runaway bride...lol
  • Don't know, but it could have to do with what SimGuruGraham had changed his Twitter avi. Which was a sim's hand with the thin blue glove from Fitness Stuff to when he changed that avi just this past week.

The devs know, but they ain't tellin'.

Of course they know, it's their job. So why wouldn't they know about what they are working on, and when they plan to release it?
And the bit about SimGuruGraham changing his Twitter avi to that bowling glove from Bowling Stuff. That was just SimGuruGraham trolling on Twitter.

Why do you have a problem with that? It’s just the idea of the pack and quite clear it was going to be. Once you’ve explored the jungle it will be open from then on won’t it? There are loading screens between every neighborhood, there are loading screens between lots even, why would that all of a sudden be a problem? When you go from Windenburg to Willow Creek you get a loading screen as well.

I'm ready for Sims 5, tbh. There's nothing like an exciting new base game to get me all excited again!

Same! I'm tired of TS4. :disappointed:

I don't think they will be releasing TS5 soon, taking into account TS4 is not even nearly finished, they have a lot of money to suck out of it yet, it would be silly to pass to the new game :D

The subject is if anyone knows what we are getting and so far I don't see anything. Many think that Seasons is on the way.

I agree. Why would anyone want to go on to another game when this one has 1/10 the stuff in S3. Some complained that S3 didn't work, but they also used CC and mods, which I didn't and my S3 game worked perfectly except some minor issues with routing on WA and IP has some very minor issues, but nothing that hindered my gameplay. They also said they were not going to go by any timelines from the past, so not sure why some are pushing 2020. If it is another closed world and they don't even flesh S4 out, I don't have any interest in going on to S5, because whose to say that future Sims games wouldn't be the same? Do a couple of expansions and a few packs and call it a day. S4 isn't what I wanted, but with them opening up more with the Ourdoor retreat and Jungle adventure, the idea of more ways of opening the world would go a long way to making it feel more real.

We use to get so much content in a year for Sims3 and it feels like we don't get anything in S4. If they do anymore supernaturals, I hope they put all of it in an Afterlife EP and flesh out the ghosts, dying, the cemetery, and the funeral service. I barely touched any supernaturals past the vampires and would be disappointed and disinterested in having them in gamepacks like vampires was. We don't have grocery stores, seasons(which we may be getting), or University. Also, the motto is that they want to do things not done in the Sims franchise, so I'm hoping for a Farming EP(EP needed to get animals, barns, crops, machinery, farming career ect.). A newby that I'd also like to have is House building from the survey with the house builder career, the home interior career, and the stylist career along with more art type things to round out such an EP. Babysitting career, small animals(with more fish and nice tanks), wedding planning career & gobs of stuff for it. :) I think adding the things mentioned in the above paragraph would go a long way into making the S4 game feel as if it has many possibilities.

We don't know as there won't be a quarterly teaser... So only EA knows (hopefully?!).
After playing the game more frequently I find myself missing "University" over "Seasons" tbh.
A farming kind of pack would be cool, too. Remember the chicken coop, tractor, cow and canning station you could buy in the TS3 store? I'd totally like to have that in my game. Maybe with a rural world... well, an EP like this is missing as well!

I always wanted a Farm EP. My fear is that they would go gamepack and do to it what they have done to small animals. If they piecemeal it, it will never be a real farming experience. With animal(cows, pigs, chickens, goats, ect.), new crops, new machinery, barns(whole and for builders to build), feed/bb/CAS/ect., sprinklers, the largest lot and maybe a Farmer's Co-op to buy/sell animals and purchase materials. That is my idea of a Farming pack and could only be made correctly in an EP. I did love that they included that for S3, but hated that it is all it came to. If they wanted to throw in mowing yards and diff kind of mowers, then that would be new. Something I also forgot to mention was S2/1 stuff like the candlemaking, flower arranging(which could come in a wedding GP), the large swim in aquarium, and a new one, antique stuff.
  • Maybe we will have a GP(witches, farming) that will be playable in june and the anunce of a EP(seasons) in june that releases in september, just dreaming ...but do you imagine??
  • It's a weird one; I agree with what people are saying about pack publicity timelines - that the closer we get to EA play the less time there is to promote a pack, thus reducing the chances of it being an EP at the play event, and yet I still can't help feeling time at the event just isn't worth anything less than an EP.
