Anyway to make a non-active sim take a shower?

Short of taking active control of another sim, is there any way to make them take a shower?? My main active-sim in the household that I play has 3 sisters who she has given the key to her place to,...

Thank you all for helpful contributions.

She showed up while my sims were eating breakfast and looked normal again. It only took her 3 days. I would have taken her to the gym and shower club had she not just showed up normal, so I do appreciate the suggestions.
