It's very easy to make money. First time I went to the jungle for three days, completed the temple once, and ended up with a couple of 10k frogs. However, I didn't sell them. I just sell duplicates. Now I have a ridiculous tax bill that even the frugal trait doesn't stop.
With the archaeology aspiration finished (and it's very easy to finish), you can donate things to a museum for a buff. This is a good way of getting rid of inventory without getting paid for it.
