I can confirm genetics are just fine. I gave a sim a little brother and made him look a lot like Mad Magazine's Alfred E Neuman. Turned out the original sim is a teen, so CAS decided they really needed to have a parent to finish, so I derived a mother from the boy. She is a mirror likeness of the boy. They are in my gallery as the Lonebutters, just son and mother. (Same handle as my forum)
