I saw in the show your paranormal builds a really cool looking decor center piece link posted by CatloverPlayer he got from twitter. It had the seance table with the decor skeleton doll and it looked really cool. Looking at it I could see a lot of moo was used in building it. I liked it so I made a similar decor piece for the front yard in my build using moo. I used the seance table, the decor doll, flowers, and the grave lights. Put a fence around it to keep sims from using it and turned off moo after building it. I happened to click on the seance table while play testing the lot and my sim walked over the fence and used the table.
So I saved it as a room and using the world editor I placed it on the lot next door. I replaced the fence with half walls, moo is off, never turned it on to place the lot or half walls. I sent my sim over there, she walked over the half walls and used the table. The seance table has a large footprint and a sim can go over any surface to use it. The game is not designed to do that so I knew that it had the potential to really break the lot, trap a sim behind half walls, break the sim, or even corrupt the save.
So moo can cause problems that a quick test can miss catching, even if moo is turned off after using it to build something.
Also for finding missing ceilings under the roof, put the walls all the way down and you can see under the roof when you go up a floor level in build mode.
You can try changing the chairs for armchairs, so sims won't use the table. Or replace the table with a different type of surface. No need for half walls.
The only way I would feel safe using something like that decor center piece would be in a fountain's basement with walls all around it with windows. Sense I didn't have a basement on my 15 X 20 lot, I just deleted it. I would need to build it again for when I have a bigger lot with a basement and a fountain for it to be under water so sims can't get to it. It would make a cool center piece in the center of a big room in the basement.
That is a rather dramatic approach but if it suits you, that's fine.
Like this. Sims can't use it.

I have that orb on a different table in one of my houses, and it acts strictly as a decor piece. There are no chairs and no sims have ever attempted to interact with it as it has no interactions available. You can use a different table to get the same look, or different type of chairs that sims only use for sitting not for seances, like a pouf seat that faces away from the table for example. I've never had sims cross a fence, even the short ones, though I can't say I use fences that much nowadays. You could also try putting that display on a platform that is 2 clicks high, sims can't climb on those without stairs.
That's what surprised me, I have never have a sim walk over a half wall until I put one around the seance table. Believe me I tried to have a sim walk over a half wall when the platforms came out because that's what I wanted her to do. I used the tiny half wall and I wanted her to step over it to use the platform and she couldn't. That's why it was a red flag when she was able to step over the tiny half wall to use the seance table.
I know the orb is decor, that's not what was getting her over the half wall. It was the 9 square footprint of the seance table that got her over the half wall. I wanted the seance table and it's chairs, that was the look I was going for. The way it looks on the park lot with the brown fountain trim was what I was trying to get by using the small fence that sims can't step over on the lot in Strangervill where my sim lives. She lives in a micro tiny house that I built for her.
I don't use moo except in a way that I know won't cause any issues and I don't have a lot of clutter. The Strangervill lot I only have moo on one window planter that's over the lavender bush. I don't plan on saving the lot to the gallery but I will save it in my library.
