erm....I decluttered my house a couple of years ago and got rid of 8 bookcases! I had 2 or 3 in some rooms so I would never judge anybody on excessive bookcase useage!

To be fair, bookcases are just shelves. And shelves can be used for anything. The fact that they all work as bookcases in the game is different from the fact that if I IRL have bookcases in 3 rooms, only one of them is full of books, the others are full of say DVDs (back in the day), or action figures, or just random junk (in the office).
