I decided to try something, where I was playing with a toddler and an unrelated caretaker today (mostly playing the toddler and leaving the grown up to his own devices), and I encountered a problem. I directed her to read a toddler book to herself (I think it was about shapes if anyone is curious), but when she was done the book remained stuck in her hand, and interferred with her doing anything (to the point I got notifications about her going to be taken away if she didn't eat). I had to reset the book object, and then it disappeared (wasn't even showing up in her inventory), but the nanny put away the invisible book. That fixed her, but I'm uncertain how widespread this is, and if I should avoid toddler books for the time being.

Books, toys, plates all seem to get stuck on toddlers at various times. It’s a major bug right now in the game. They are very borked after the latest patch.

Resetsim has worked for me. This is a very irritating bug and I am not happy at all!

Books, toys, plates all seem to get stuck on toddlers at various times. It’s a major bug right now in the game. They are very borked after the latest patch.

Oh, I'm so glad to know this glitch isn't just in my game. Last night my toddler was at the beach and needed to carry her book and tablet. And make a sand castle. :neutral: I had to resetsim 4 times before it worked. I also had the message 'sim not found'. Very frustrating.

As I said earlier, its very irritating and I have resorted to not playing toddlers now. I should not have to resort to that. I am not happy at all!

Edit: removed the "Me Too" part, that was for another bug (DO) :D

I just had a plate get stuck in my toddler's hand. He just became a toddler so I guess I have this persistent glitch to look forward to!

I've had this problem with the last toddler I played, with books and toys. Plates and the Wabbit tablet were fine. If you use MCCC, click the sim go into Cheats, then Reset sim. Its a lot easier than having to type the name, maybe even several times.

It is definitely an annoying glitch. Resetsim has always worked for me. I still have hovering books though, so I just go into build mode and move them. I hope this is fixed soon.
