I wish they'd increase it too, even with mods it's a bit of a pain! Back in sims 2 and 3 days it was much easier. I like to play big fmailies, but they alwasy end up running out of space.
I wanted Erik to be able to have horses, when that pack was released. So, I used MCCC to increase the number of Sims in a family. I did a modest increase, mind you. He moved to their new place, first, bought the Mare and the Stallion, then the rest of the family moved in with them. Kayleigh and Erik had an oopsie baby just recently. In the meantime, For Rent was released. I happily built a reasonable facsimile of one of the apartment buildings we lived in. In this Apartment complex, they had eighty units, but they were divided up into four-unit buildings. That was perfect for me. I created something very similar, but added some common areas, which included a laundry room, a small gym, and on the other side of the ground floor, a party room, wherein a family could hold birthday parties or other such gatherings. I even created a space in the back of the building for Community socializing. Swing set for the kiddies, a splashpad area for those very hot days (right now in my game they're having a heatwave) a BBQ and some outdoor tables to dine upon. Would that the real place had been this nice. LOL Erik's second child was actually a set of identical twin girls. These young ladies have just aged up to YA and graduated university. They are all set to move into the building their father financed for them and have even asked their older brother to move in, too. I wanted him to be a tenant, but until I can get them to move over there, I placed a Murphy bed in the living room for him.
None of them officially live there at the moment.
I just did the math. Even if Erik sells all three horses, I won't be able to split the family via Manage Families from map mode. Nor unless I'm ready to say goodbye to baby Michael, who just became a toddler.
I suppose, I can have the girls sell the complex and maybe have their uncle Joe purchase it, instead. I just wanted a taste of this new pack, first hand, with the family I care about the most.
