I picked only non-occults, because I would never purposefully create a sim that is an occult or actively search the occult life. However, once I think I accidently married an alien because I didn't realize she was one, and I also have a sims that I'm thinking of making into a mersim because it fits his story. I do wish there was a way to "turn off" occult sims for a save though. The main reason I haven't bought vampires, realm of magic, or werewolves is because I don't want some random occult sims messing up my very basic, vanilla, every-day life gameplay...
