Are you an occult player or non-occult Sims player?

I like that you did this poll. Look at all the "both" answers! the 3 types of "both" answer are the very center of a nice bell-curve here.

Perhaps, like so many online arguments, the ones making the most noise are the small populations at the extremes, while the majority are a lot more moderate but a lot less noisy.

While I will say Occults are required for me to fully enjoy the Sims, they're not exclusive. I still love family content and normal scenarios, but being able to create a world with normal sims, aliens, ghosts, vampires, mermaids, werewolves, and spellcasters is so fun for me.

I will try to play with non-occults every once in a while, but I'll get annoyed with them soon, because humans are just so slow, and my houses are big, which means that it would take them half a day to walk from one room to another. I love super speed and teleportation powers.

Once I add werewolves I'll have 11 occult households and 12 non-occult in my main save. So pretty even.

Most of my sims households have an occult in them. Even if a family starts out with only human sims, I just can't resist adding occults or turning one of them into an occult. But I have a few non-occults as well and care just as much about those sims as I do about occult sims.

I play all kinds of species of sims. I'm even trying to figure out how to add the Werewolves to my Hybrids without my sim turning invisable. :'( :D ;)

I rarely play occults. I do have a spellcaster household, and do plan on adding a werewolf…. Thinking about making a mermaid and vampire household ( I have played the Valtores a few times, and a couple of sims have purposely made friends with a mermaid ). I made a couple aliens long ago, but didn’t really play them. I do I have one alien sim that spawned in my game that will most likely have a baby with a human at some point in one of my rotational saves.

But, I’m not one that plays occults much, I wouldn’t call myself an occult player as I prefer regular human households over all, but I don’t mind having a few occults in my game, I just wish that I could make them a rarity ( have only the ones I want in the game instead of having them spawn/respawn) all over the place ). For me, occult sims are supposed to be special, and they hide from regular sims, having them spawn all over makes them less special to me.

I also really think we need some lots in sixam, so I can have an alien household live there, and I think there should have been some underwater lots and a crib for mermaids….. even if they was incapsulated in a dome underwater.

I love the build/buy and some of the CAS that comes with the occults even though I don’t actively play the occults a lot. And, I bought Batuu, but think we should have been able to make the aliens there real aliens if we wanted too, and there should have been a few lots there for sims to live as well…..

I have to say I did enjoy playing through strangerville once, and like the world. I do wish we could turn off the story in some saves if we want to though, and I wish we could replace the lab if we wanted to with something else after playing through it.

It's a bit funny, because when I started to play TS4 I thought I wasn't really interested in playing occults, but slowly I started to play them more and now when I look at the current heirs of my three main families they are/are all going to be occults (or well I'm still not sure about the fourth of them, but I think she may end up being a vampire at some point). Yet I play non-occults too, I have mixed families and I need them, because my occults wouldn't be so special if I didn't also have ordinary sims.

I picked only non-occults, because I would never purposefully create a sim that is an occult or actively search the occult life. However, once I think I accidently married an alien because I didn't realize she was one, and I also have a sims that I'm thinking of making into a mersim because it fits his story. I do wish there was a way to "turn off" occult sims for a save though. The main reason I haven't bought vampires, realm of magic, or werewolves is because I don't want some random occult sims messing up my very basic, vanilla, every-day life gameplay...

I play both, but I have separate saves, one for occults and one non-occult only.
