Are you disappointed that diving is just a rabbit hole?

I am the most disappointed with it when it comes to mermaids the most. I would've liked to have a world similar to realm of magic where Mermaids could go to that isn't in the main world. Diving a don't care for, but I would've loved mermaids to have their own thing. It is kind of annoying sending my Mermaid off to do something, or have a Sim dive, and just stare at the surface of the water.
I wish mermaids could be followed when they dive, and be able to actually do something with them.
