ahhh really thats awesome im really pleased about that - LadyKyn8 years agoSeasoned AceThey have an option to turn off those weather effects in the options menu from what they showed us. I think thunderstorms was among one of the options and you can still have rain.
- carlydunham8 years agoRising Aceim really pleased im asked thats really good of EA im sure im not the only one who hates storms xxx
- LaBlue03148 years agoSeasoned AceYes there are a few weather options, 2 are for winter and 2 are for summer.
You can have the blizzard and the snow, or just the snow, and you can have both the thunderstorm and the rain, or just the rain.
There will also be one other option that will allow you to completely turn it all off. I'm so glad they did that, because this way if someone's computer can't quite handle it, all they have to do is turn it off. I had to do that for Sims 3, because weather and pets really took a bad toll on my computer. - JeanVW8 years agoSeasoned AceThey probably also did that because there are players who may or may not have epilepsy.

i have severe anxiety and ASD and with real life storms i have panic attacks in the sims 3 seasons luckly there were mods that disabled lightning and storms etc im hoping its the same with the sims 4 seasons is anyone the same?
I can't be certain but I think you might be able to untick them in Options. Check live feed.
I don't like them either so you are not alone, luckily I don't get very many of them where I live now. I do have an excuse. My block of flats in London was hit by ball lightning years ago just when I was about to go in. We all survived a fire in the roof as we have a fantastic fire service, (then anyway)! I start getting headaches and anxious when the weather gets stormy but think that is because I was born in September! I tend to feel weather "in my bones" as the saying goes.
All I can recommend is to learn more about them and learn how to protect yourself. That's how I got over my fear of spiders. I really admire them now. Marvellously useful creatures. - elliebreton8 years agoLegendI really love storms and thunder, but I do have bad anxiety about other things in life so I can appreciate how you feel.
It's great that you will be able to enjoy playing by turning off the thunderstorms. - carlydunham8 years agoRising Ace

ahhh i have always hated storms but i was in a cat 3/4 cyclone several years ago and we had to drive 8 hours in it that made it worse xxx - AineOfMay8 years agoSeasoned AceIf you're brave about using it in the game, it might actually help with your anxiety with irl thunder. Good luck!
